The Good News
"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son."
1 John 5:11
What will happen to you after you die? Have you ever faced that question seriously? No one escapes it — not the rich or the poor, not the young or the old, not the religious or the man who never prayed in his life. Of all the questions a soul can ask, this one alone decides not a season, but an eternity.
This page does not ask you to join anything, pay anything, or perform anything. It sets before you what no religion on earth can offer: a free, complete, and permanent salvation, given by God Himself — not earned by your effort, not maintained by your goodness, but received as a gift through simple, personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Read it slowly. It is the most important thing you will ever read.
Before we speak of salvation, we must speak of the One who saves. The first and deepest truth of the Holy Scriptures is that God is one — one living, personal, holy God, who made all things and to whom every soul must answer.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD." (Deuteronomy 6:4)
And this one God loves you — not as a crowd, not as a statistic, but as a person He formed and knows completely. Before you were born, before you had done one thing good or bad, He prepared a way to bring you to Himself. It cost Him everything. It costs you nothing but empty hands to receive it.
The one God has an eternal Word — His own perfect expression of Himself, who was with Him in the beginning, and who was Himself God.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made by him." (John 1:1,3)
And that eternal Word entered our world:
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us." (John 1:14)
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh." (1 Timothy 3:16)
This Person is the Lord Jesus Christ — fully God and fully man. And this matters for your salvation, because only God Himself could pay what your sin owes, and only by taking flesh could He die to pay it. A prophet can point you toward God; only God, come in the flesh, can forgive your sin and carry it away.
Here is the diagnosis every heart already knows. Every one of us has sinned — not occasionally, but thoroughly. We have lied, been proud, loved ourselves first, and put other things where God belongs.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
"There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10)
And sin has a wage. Not merely guilt or a troubled conscience, but death — separation from God, now and for ever.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
This is the crisis that makes every other problem in your life look small. And this is the very problem the Lord Jesus Christ came to solve.
God did not look at us in our sin and turn away. He did not tell us to climb to Him; He came down to us.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
While we were yet sinners — not after we cleaned ourselves up. On the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ stood in your place. The punishment your sins deserved fell on Him.
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
And on the third day He rose from the dead — bodily, literally, victoriously. The empty tomb is heaven's receipt that the payment was accepted in full. He lives for evermore, and He saves for evermore.
Not by works. Not by rituals, sacraments, pilgrimages, or years of religious effort. Not by anything in your hands — because your hands could never carry it.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
When a trembling man asked the apostle Paul the most urgent question a soul can ask — what must I do to be saved? — the answer was one sentence:
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:31)
To believe is not merely to agree that He existed. It is to stop trusting yourself — your goodness, your record, your religion — and to transfer all your trust to the Lord Jesus Christ alone, who died for your sins and rose again. You receive Him the way you receive any gift: not by earning it, but by taking it.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
When God saves you, He saves you permanently. Your salvation does not rest on your grip on Him, but on His grip on you.
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28)
"He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24)
Notice the words: hath — present possession. Shall not — absolute. Is passed — already done. The moment you believe, the matter is settled in heaven, and it cannot be reversed.
Salvation is not a ceremony, and it needs no intermediary — no priest, no ritual, no holy place. It is a personal transaction between your soul and the living God, and it can happen right now, wherever you are. What saves you is not the words of a prayer, but the faith of your heart in the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet if you wish to pour that faith into words, pray like this, sincerely, from your heart:
«O great, holy, and loving God, I come to You confessing that I am a sinner. I have broken Your commandments in thought, word, and deed, and I know my sin deserves death and separation from You. I have nothing of my own to offer You. But I believe with all my heart that Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins, that He was buried, and that You raised Him from the dead the third day. Right now I receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I trust in Him alone — not in my works, not in my religion, not in any man. Thank You, Father, for forgiving all my sins and giving me eternal life as a free gift by Your grace. I pray this in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen.»
If you prayed that sincerely, God heard you — not because of the words, but because of the Christ in whose name you came.
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
If you have truly believed, the greatest miracle of your life has just happened: you have passed from death to life, and you are now a child of God. Here are five simple steps to begin your new life:
First — read the King James Bible every day. Begin with the Gospel of John. This is how God speaks to you, feeds you, and makes you strong.
Second — pray every day. Not memorized words, but your own heart spoken to your heavenly Father. Prayer is the breathing of the Christian life.
Third — join a Bible-believing church. Faith is not meant to grow alone. Come and worship with us — you will be received with joy.
Fourth — be baptized. Baptism does not save; it is the first step of obedience after salvation — a public testimony that you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Fifth — tell someone. Begin with your family and friends. Simply tell them what the Lord has done for you.
God does not want you to hope you are saved. He wants you to know.
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life." (1 John 5:13)
That ye may know — not wish, not guess, not wait in fear. Religions say: work, and perhaps you will be accepted. The Word of God alone says: believe, and know that you are saved.
"Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."John 6:37
